Caffeine & Carburetors Events
Caffeine & Carburetors is a gathering of automotive enthusiasts, meeting in New Canaan. at Caffeine & Carburetors Cafe about four times a year to enjoy our rides and share them with like-minded enthusiasts hiding in and around Connecticut and New York and beyond.
Doug Zumbach began hosting these gatherings in 1995. These Sundays start around 8 am to gather and enjoy a cup of coffee, followed by a leisurely drive through the countryside, drawing town residents and families (and their dogs!) as well as visitors from neighboring municipalities and states to enjoy the cars and the charm of New Canaan and its restaurants and shops.
About Caffeine & Carburetors Cafe
The motivation behind The Cafe began with the concept that automotive enthusiasts from all over the area needed a destination to call home, a clubhouse if you will, for car hobbyists to gather and coffee lovers to visit.
The Cafe will host events throughout the year. These events will be attended by avid car aficionados, who are interested in the news and product launches from the automotive industry.
The Man Behind Caffeine & Carburetors
Doug Zumbach came to New Canaan in 1991 looking for retail space. A Vice President of Human Resources, he was looking to make a lifestyle change. Thus the wildly successful Zumbach’s Gourmet Coffees was born. Growing up in a family of car people, it was a natural evolution to begin hosting gatherings of car lovers on the weekends.
